Tempus Nova Wins SIPA's COPE Project!

Tempus Nova is awarded the State of Colorado. The Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) formally announces the award of the Collaboration, Office Productivity, & Email (COPE) project. Tempus Nova submitted its proposal on February 10, 2010. SIPA received a total of 10 proposals which were screened to ensure they met SIPA’s requirements. After a very intense and thorough review process, SIPA’s recommendation for award went to Tempus Nova. SIPA stated Tempus Nova:

“…offered a platform that demonstrated the highest ability to meet the requirements (as presented in the RFP), had a higher degree of interoperability which will support SIPA’s work with various Eligible Governmental Entities (EGEs), had an effective licensing model, offered a mature and readily available SaaS model, and showed the most promise for future enhancements with minimum impact on pricing models. Tempus Nova demonstrated a strong understanding of the importance of the financial strategy and offered a price point that aligned with projected costs and revenues. In addition, Tempus Nova did not issue a minimum order requirement for the solution. This demonstrates that they understand the market strategy and the environment within which SIPA and the EGEs operate. Tempus Nova recommends the Google Apps cloud computing messaging and collaboration solution, and states their belief that it is the most mature, scalable, and cost effective option available. The COPE evaluation concurs with their recommendation based upon the evaluated requirements.”

Tempus Nova’s next steps are to finalize contract negotiations with SIPA. Throughout this process, Tempus Nova will support Eligible Government Entities in conjunction with SIPA as they transition to Google Apps. Tempus Nova and SIPA will offer immediate standardized pricing for Google Apps. We hope an adoption of Google Apps throughout State and Local Governments will dramatically lower operational costs while significantly improving the end user experience in the areas of communication, collaboration and productivity. Tempus Nova looks forward to working with SIPA and Google to bring this innovative Cloud technology to the State.
